Dr. Stephen J. Pyle DDS the 1st Weston Dental Practice Meet Our Staff
Welcome to the Office of Dr. Stephen J. Pyle, DDS
My goal, and the goal of the staff that I have carefully selected and trained to assist me, is to provide you with a warm and comfortable dental experience, while providing the highest level of professional care to you and your family.
I earned my DDS degree from Creighton University in 1983 and immediately relocated to the community of Bonaventure in western Broward County. As soon as professional office space became available in the new Weston development, I opened my first private dental practice at Country Isles Plaza in 1986. When I was able to bring in an associate dentist, I then had the opportunity to apply what I had learned to design and open my second office in the Lakes Plaza Shopping Center in 1996. Due to our growth, and the desire to be more conventionally located to our patients from Weston, Davie, Sunrise, Plantation, and beyond, we relocated our office to the Commerce Parkway Professional Center in 2013. At our new location we also offer Sleep Apnea Treatment as part of affiliation with Chase Dental SleepCare which was established in New York by Dr Barry Chase. In 2018 I earned the status of a Board Certified Diplomat of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). I treat patients suffering from snoring and obstructive sleep apnea using oral appliance therapy which is covered by most insurance plans. As an AADSM member I have access to latest educational resources on the treatment of snoring and obstructive sleep apnea.
Two twin themes have fueled the dental practice’s growth for over 30 years—that of respect and commitment to our patients, and my respect and commitment to the wonderful staff that allows me to provide expert dental care to you the patient. My staff and I respect your valuable time and always strive to see you at your appointed time. We are committed to earning and retaining your confidence in our treatment, whether it’s been 25 years since your last dental visit, or if you just need a simple cleaning. To this end, we are continually evaluating and researching the latest technologies and treatments that will make your visit more pleasant and provide you with superior results. Therefore, I take my responsibility to keep up with the latest dental developments and technologies, and to maintain and improve my professional skills, very seriously. As such, I am a member of the following professional associations:
- American Dental Association
- Florida Dental Association
- Atlantic Coast District Dental Society
- Academy of General Dentistry
- Pankey Institute Alumni
- American Society of Clinical Hypnosis
- American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
I have been married to my wife, Ruth, since 1978. Ruth manages the corporate financial aspects of the practice and was instrumental in the design and built-out of our current office. She also has a hobby of raising the beautiful orchids that you will find in the office. We are both active in several ministries at St. Bonaventure Church, as we share the philosophy that we should give back to the community through service.
Ryan Pyle arrived in 1991. He graduated from Rice University (engineering department) with a degree in CAMM (computational and applied mathematics) and is currently working on his PHD in applied mathematics at Notre Dame. He enjoys swimming, hiking, playing the trumpet and all sorts of math and science related activities. We are proud of the fact that he has achieved the Eagle rank in the Boy Scouts, and graduated from Pine Crest School as Salutatorian. Our family is completed Millie, a toy schnauzer.
One of life’s most difficult challenges is to create a balance between work, family and leisure, while having time for self, and community or church service. I feel blessed that I have been able to achieve this because of the help of the warm and wonderful team that works with me. I feel that it is their passion, warmth and dedication to patients that makes our practice unique.
My name is Dr. John Aylmer, and I am truly honored to be a part of Dr. Pyle’s team! It is refreshing to have found such a top notch office and to be mentored by such a great dentist. I look forward to providing you with the excellent dentistry and personalized care that you have grown accustomed to. I am passionate about all things dentistry and strive to help you feel your best. It thrills me to know that dentistry allows me to change someone’s life by giving them the smile they desire.
As a Florida native, outdoor activities have always been a passion of mine. In my free time, I am likely to be found near the water. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Central Florida and obtained my doctorate of dental medicine at Nova Southeastern University where I met my fiancé, Ashely. Together we have a Goldendoodle named Bentley who consumes much of our attention.
Some say that I am a natural leader but to me I just enjoy helping others succeed. In addition to membership in the following organizations, I currently serve my colleagues as Secretary of the South Broward Dental Association and as Vice-chair of the Counsel on the New Dentist of the Florida Dental Association.
- American Dental Association
- Florida Dental Association
- South Florida District Dental Association
- Academy of General Dentistry
- American Academy of Implant Dentistry
Like Dr. Pyle, it is my goal to offer you the best and most up to date dentistry possible. I attend multiple study club meetings every month in addition to completing numerous hours of continuing education. Recently, I have completed a year long curriculum on implant dentistry and am on track to become an associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Ultimately, our goal is to partner with you in improving your oral health. I feel that once we are on the same team we can achieve optimal results. If you ever have questions about anything, please reach out to me. It is my priority to be there for our patients.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
Hello and welcome,
My name is Beth Ludwig and I am the office manager and I consider my main role to be your patient care adviser. I can’t wait for you to visit my office as one wall of my office is the living reef aquarium!
I have been with Dr. Pyle since December 1988, having just moved to Weston from Westchester County NY as a newlywed. Now over for over 30 years later I am still passionate about what we do here at Dr Pyle’s dental office in Weston. Over the years Dr Pyle has put together a wonderful team of experienced staff. Their attention to technical detail and quality along with a personal touch makes me thankful to be a part of Dr. Pyle’s dental office. He is always gentle with his patients and takes the time to get to know everyone individually. It is so nice to come to work feeling like you are part of a family.
I am especially thrilled to be able to coordinate the treatment of sleep apnea with oral dental appliances. Adding this treatment option to our practice has been so rewarding to me personally, as I have the responsibility to follow-up with the sleep apnea patients we have treated and hear their testimony of how dramatically their lives have been improved by using the oral appliance and getting the first night of restful sleep in years.
I am here to help facilitate your treatment and comfort at our office in any way I can, whether it be discussing treatment options, insurance questions or billing policies. Also if you just want to talk and look at the beautiful fish and corals, I am here for you.
I have been married to my husband Paul since 1987. He is a golf course superintendent on Fisher Island in Miami and also an avid golfer. We have been blessed with 3 girls Molly, Sophie and Emma, and the youngest is becoming quite the avid golfer as well! We also have 3 dogs and a cat. In my spare time (which I have little of) I enjoy gardening, decorating and cooking.
It is such a pleasure to be part of Dr Pyle’s a warm and caring team. I look forward to speaking and meeting with you soon!
My name is Daisy Cole. I have been a Dental Hygienist with Dr. Stephen J. Pyle DDS since 2001. I graduated from dental school in 1990, and since then I have been working in the dental field. My husband, son, daughter, and I moved to Weston in 2000.
It is my goal to set at a high standard of patient care here at the office. I strive to provide my patients with the best dental visit experience by expressing my passion and dedication in patient care, education, and disease prevention. I strive to integrate all these aspects into an overall positive dental experience. For me it is important to keep setting new goals for myself so that I never stop learning and striving to be better at what I do as part of Dr Pyle’s dental team.
I look forward to meeting and providing you with the best professional dental care.
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Rosa Quinones, and I have been a Dental Assistant for over 20 years. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I moved to Florida in 2000. I have been with Dr. Pyle since 2007. I love seeing the effect our finished results have on a patient’s frame of mind, attitude and self-confidence— when they have come in with a dental problem and leave with a big smile–nothing compares to that! I love my job and enjoy what I do. My favorite thing about working with Dr Pyle is having the ability to learn new ways of helping patients and to grow in my knowledge. It’s great to get to know different people and to help make a difference in their lives.
I love working with Dr Pyle because he is very kind and compassionate to everyone—he is a fantastic dentist to work with!
