If you are looking for a dentist that specializes in teeth whitening in Weston, look no further than “Weston’s First Dentist” Stephen J. Pyle DDS. Dr. Pyle has been providing exceptional dental care to the Weston and Davie communities for over two decades. If 2018 is the year you take the time to seriously address not only your smile, but the rest of your oral health, Dr. Pyle is ready to help.
Gleaming white teeth are important for appearance and your own self confidence, but in a sense, they are superficial. You can bleach and whiten your teeth but if the underlying dental health is bad, your pearly whites could end up on the pillow.
Let’s make this year the year you get your dental health in top condition. Let’s not call it a New Year’s Resolution because nobody keeps those. Let’s call it your New Year’s Dental Goals. That gives you the entire year to take care of your oral health; try not to procrastinate!
Dental Goals for a Great Smile and Healthy Teeth in 2018
Your mouth is a dynamic place. It is a warm, moist place which makes it perfect for the growth of bacteria. Each day you place acids, sugars, fructose, and a virtual cornucopia of other ingredients in it in the form of food and drink. Every day is a potential “perfect storm” for the development of gum disease, cavities, stains and other dental problems.
To stay ahead of the curve, Dr. Pyle encourages you to take advantage of the following dental advice :
Start with the basics . Get a complete examination to establish a base line. This will include an examination of teeth and gums, diagnostic x-ray (digital), screening for oral cancer, cleaning to remove tartar and plaque, and polishing to remove plaque and stains.
Restore teeth . If you have damaged or missing teeth, now is the time to restore them. Your teeth are interrelated. If one is damaged, it weakens the entire structure. Veneers, crowns, filling cavities and implants can reinforce the structure.
Avoid gum disease . Brush twice a day with a fluoridated toothpaste. Floss daily to remove small bits of food. The ADA recommends you get a new toothbrush every 3 or 4 months. Don’t smoke or chew tobacco products.
Whitening treatment . Finally, there are a variety of whitening treatments available. Dr. Pyle will be happy to review the treatments and make a recommendation. White, polished teeth will make you feel so great!
Let’s get started now. Call our friendly staff at the Weston dental office and make an appointment. Don’t procrastinate. Do it today!
